By March, we had funded our second solar installation in Ireland for joinery specialists Camlough Joinery Works, a successful project made possible by our partnership with leading Ireland-based installer Start Solar.
Crafting bespoke joinery since 1983, Camlough Joinery Works has weathered many changes over the decades — but one challenge that kept growing was their energy bills. Like many Irish businesses, they felt the pinch during the energy crisis of 2022, and prices have remained stubbornly high ever since.

Faced with rising costs and a need for a more sustainable energy solution, Camlough Joinery Works saw solar as the obvious next step. Through a recommendation by Start Solar, they learned that they could not only enjoy significant savings through solar but also access it with €0 upfront.
In March 2024, Start Solar installed a 15.1kW rooftop system at their warehouse. The project was funded through a Smart Ease Payment Plan, which allowed Camlough Joinery Works to avoid any capital outlay and pay off the system with manageable monthly installments.
